Before I check out for this moment I'd like to put up notice that the next time I log on and if I have 5k views the first person who msg's me plus screenshots of 5k view gets a kiriban of their choice

I'm retiring. Putting all my time on playing Nostale.uk until I get bored then maybe come back or find another game. The only reason I do log in is if :Ju-Fate: reminds me nowadays (

I never did take my art seriously. And with m time all going to duty and Nostale and the rest being used for resting/ relaxing I'd rather have those who waits for me let go of that thought.

I've been away too long..

Due to some tecchie problems I couldn't open DA in my main pc and whenever I tried before it looks like I got the lagg from hell and everything goes white ><><><

Aside from tecchie probs I've been busy with my game Nostale. At last lvl 56 and final specialist!!! >:3 I still draw a lot but if I have to revert back to posting mere sketches of my nostale characters that I doubt anyone would look at then maybe I won't be posting much at all T_T

Anyweyz..

I'm sure the Clinical Instructors are very annoyed at me by now.

This morning I was assigned to a kid who was given the MGH (may go home) so I had less to do than the others, lucky me. Unluckyly, the kid was not so cooperative.

He trashed about and cried for what seemed like the whole time I was to give the meds. !T_T!

So I went back to my CI and asked if there were other alternatives. She said "It's your duty as a nurse to make sure the client takes the medicine" I kept on asking more questions and she said. "Don't give me a Toxic morning." I answered with "Ma'am it's your duty to answer my questions." (I pay her to teach me, not expect me to come up with answers I don't know)

.....round one finished. I had the father powderize the Metronidazole and add sugar to it then had the kid drink the solution which ended up with the kid asking for his medications one hour early later on.

Earlier the CI called me Mr. Reyes (Reyes is female too) then after that she said "Ms. Tan why are you standing there" (I wanted to ask a question so I was beside her at the nurses station)

I replied "Ma'am, Sanchez po apilido ko" (Ma'am my surname is Sanchez) (I'm still pure chinese, My dad bought the surname). That had the staff nurses there laughing. I was sure she was glaring at me..XD (sama ng tingin nya..)

Final round was the worst.

My client's father handed me one Cloxicillin for his son to be given at 12nn. I was sure he said they were going to leave at 5pm. So I held on to that capsule..When I went back at 12 they'd already left. -_-"

So i was left with one capsule from the client.. and I told my CI. I asked her what is the standard procedure to this situation and she said "Taguin mo. bibigyan nalang kita ng Violation slip mamaya" (Keep it, I'll just give you a violation slip later) -_-" that's what I get for being honest

Okay, so today was our first day of duty and we were assigned to OM (Ospital ng Maynila/Hospital of Manila) SICU (Surgical ICU).

It was our first day and the CI was pretty nice. She had us do things slowly and had us reviewing (*cough* illegible handwritings *cough*) for most of the day. Shift was 6a-2p, now changed to 7a-3p

Then around 12:30 the patient in the SICU ward (we were in the supervisor office across it) had an emergency and we were called to 'observe' what the nurses and doctors did.

The patient was a victim of multiple stab wounds and had pneumonia (which later convinced my classmates to get a pneumoccocus shot at a nearby center).

It was...eventful and our CI declared him "na-Sharon Kuneta na yan" (later secretly in our room) A term I learned today for saying no hope/dead even if the heart is beating and the patient is breathing.

I think I lost my appetite (Nawala na sikmura ko...*sobs*). ON OUR FIRST DAY!!!!! A PATIENT DIED ON OUR FIRST DAY!

....

Well at least I didn't get a violation slip. Rumor is, if a student gets a slip on the first duty he is cursed to receive one on every duty after (not that I believe it but my seniors do, and I'd rather be safe than sorry).

Sigh..the CI let us go early because she didn't want to expose us to Post-mortem care yet. (We have a nice Clinical Instructor, WHOOPEE)

The other group in the ER had a nicer time though pity the people assigned to OR since they don't have a scrub suite yet, no scrub suite, no duty XD. And the people in Cardinal Santos got bored, the classmates in Jose Reyes got dismissed early *cries*.
